Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

~Pueblo blessing

Creative times at Sagonaska School

I thought that you might like to see the creativity that is flowing in the LTTA project at Sagonaska School. Martha and I lead digital media arts (DMA) teacher professional learning workshops on May 1 and 8. The teachers participated in voice and expressive body movement activities lead by Ann McDougall via Skype. Ann did a fabulous job of engaging the teachers in exploring the possibilities for using their voices and bodies to further enhance the message in the videos that they are creating. Then they recorded video of themselves against and interacting with green screen. Next step was to include still and moving images behind and as part of the their actions. They embraced both the traditional art forms and the digital media arts as ways of promoting their passions. This is the theme that their students will be exploring and creating with in the DMA project with their teachers with Martha's mentorship.
Good wishes and looking forward to another cup of tea with you soon,
John
