Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

Hi Adele,
I send you greetings from Santiago Chile. It's plus 31 degrees here in the afternoons. I will soon go trekking in the mountains for a few weeks. I'll send a hello from the route.
For today though I am sharing a quote that has haunted me for my adult life. Sometimes it brings me hope and sometimes it just goads me. But at all times I believe in it and try to let it guide me.
Hugs from Nicole

  1. This is a wonderful quote and thought, Nicole. Did Martha Graham really write this in high school?! I saw her dance several times in New York, while I was growing up, and can still feel her intensity.

  2. Wow you saw Matha dance?!? How wonderful.
    I never saw her.
I am actually not sure if this was a real high school quote - I like the idea of her graduating in 1913 and liked that this image included that. IT would be a good point of research to see when the quote was said or written.
    Cheers,
