Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

A message from Adele

Dear Artists
I continue to enjoy every post and to revel in every detail of your artistic lives.  It has been quite a while since I’ve posted but I’m anxious to share a little of the good things that have been happening here.  We  had a respite from chemo and took full advantage of the time off to travel to the Azores and Portugal.  I’ve attached a few photos of the beauty of the San Miguel and Lisbon and other parts of Portugal.  The warmth of the people made the journey even more special than it set out to be.

I love this quote from Henry Miller…..”One’s destination is never a place but a new way of seeing things.”  That is  certainly what happened during this adventure.  We now try to  take each day as a bonus and to live it to the fullest no matter where we find ourselves.  It was a wonderful way to learn to shift perspective after so many months of seeing the dark side.

Continue on your beautiful journeys, all.
Adele

  1. Hi Adele, What wonderful pictures! What a wonderful trip!

I haven't tangible evidence of recent artistic endeavours however my daughter (25), her half brother(3) and I had a very creative moment playing with my looper over Easter. Words were sung and chanted, tambourines were banged and rain sticks were shaken. It was a process over product moment. I leave it to your imagination to realize how brilliant we all were.

    Stay strong!
