Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

Threads for Life

Hello again!
On Saturday a group of families gathered to walk together in support for the safety of their loved ones at work. Threads for Life brings "hope and healing after workplace tragedy."
I got asked to engage the children there in some arts and crafts before the walk. We made shakers for them play percussion music as they walked.

I also made some salt dough and, in honour of the walk, we walked animals through the dough and looked at their tracks. One little boy, who was an alternative thinker, put all his animals in the dough head first. I encouraged his dad to consider that such unique thinking could serve the boy well in his adult life.

You would have appreciate the confluence of creativity, charity, community and caring.

P.S. Thanks to Linda at Artbarn for the donation of the bottles and the generous sharing of her visual arts activities!
