Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

Hello Adele!

I’ve had a very cool arts & community experience that I would like to share with you…
I have been working for over a year with an organization that supports homeless adults in transition. Last year I taught a course and the group collaboratively created (and chose to perform at the official program launch) a piece that shared their stories and expressed their gratitude about support programs and their own strength to utilize them.
This year, the group (some returning, some new participants) collaboratively created an outreach piece to the homeless community, which is touring to shelters and drop-ins.
The pride and joy of creation and performance on the participants faces warms my soul to the melting point; the response of audience members being entertained and inspired turns whatever wasn’t already melted inside of my heart into liquid gold.

This work that we do is so beautifully important.
Thank you for inspiring me and being a mentor!

At last venue that we performed at, this bicycle was parked out front – if that ain’t the epitome of creativity….

Much love!

Erica May/Wood
