Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

From Daphne McCormack

Dear Adele
A grade 6 student of mine created this print recently. The theme was "Charity" and to be honest, many of the students (and myself as well), struggled to come up with some strong literal imagery. In the end, after some intense brain storming, there was some very wonderful work! But this piece in particular caught my eye; the bird with a heart, (an obvious symbol of peace)
but I could not quite make out the big red/pink ball and it's attachment to the bird. Something big, round, and joyful, warm, kind and hopeful.
It made me wonder and it made me smile.
Warm thoughts to you Adele.
Love and gratitude, Daphne McCormack.
